I don’t know what this “tag” is, but it sounds like an old body spray.

Anyway, it would seem that :iconreturnofthebadass: has dragged me into this fustercluck of tags and journals and tag journals. So, it left me with two options: shun him for five minutes or outdo him in around that amount of time. Of course, I could’ve just ignored him altogether and went along on my merry way, but where’s the fun in that?

So, without further ado, here are some facts about Danix Mason that I may or may not mention in Sprite Chronicles: Time and Space at some point.

Rules

1. Post these rules.

2. Post 8 facts about your character.

3. Tag 8 other characters. (Spoiler alert: I didn’t.)

4. Post their names along with their creators' avatar. (Spoiler alert: I still didn’t.)

  1. Danix’s transition from anti-hero to hero in everything but name has been a tough one. His reputation of annoying/sociopathic/trigger-happy/tacoholic mercenary has made it very difficult for him to change the minds of his peers and fellow mercenaries. It would take a few years before Danix has proven his true morality by only taking jobs that involved killing corrupted figures of society and the leaders of various criminal empires. Eventually, his reputation became that of an annoying/heroic/super-tacoholic mercenary. Although he doesn’t actively search for crimes to stop, he won’t ignore one that’s happening right near him. Despite these kinds of deeds, Danix doesn’t consider himself a hero simply because he feels that, after all that he’s done in his first two years of being a mercenary, he doesn’t deserve to be called one.

  2. Danix had gotten the nickname “Sky Runner” from his peers and various civilians after they witnessed him running in mid-air while he was doing his jobs or stopping local crimes. He much prefers being called this instead of an asshole.

  3. Danix’s obsession with tacos began shortly after he fled from the ruined science facility he was created in. Having been fed liquefied food from tubes his whole life, Danix wanted real food and decided to go to the local taco shop because it was the first food place he came across and he was too exhausted to go elsewhere. Unfortunately for Danix, he realized that he didn’t have any money. Seeing that Danix had been through a lot of trauma (both physically and mentally), the owner took pity on him and gave him half a dozen tacos for free. Grateful for the owner’s charity, Danix took a bite out of one of the tacos and was quickly overwhelmed, yet overjoyed, by the unfamiliar flavors. It didn’t take long for Danix to deem this his favorite food.

  4. During his downtime, Danix would sometimes hang out with Nigredo to annoy him while giving him ideas on new inventions to build. This eventually led to the creation of their giant, complex spaceship and the spaceship’s even more complex artificial intelligence, among other things. Despite these accomplishments, Nigredo still doesn’t like him due to how terrible Danix is at making complex technology, which usually ends in Nigredo working on the inventions by himself.

  5. Originally, Danix’s sleeveless hoodie was a regular vest. I felt that something should be on the back on the vest and it eventually led to two options: put a logo on the back or add a hoodie. I chose the hoodie because the logo would be so small that no one would know what it is. Plus, I didn’t feel like making it and the hoodie was a lot easier to make than expected.

  6. Because of all the money he has earned from his many mercenary jobs, Danix is technically a millionaire. He usually spends the money on tacos, clothes and such, and whatever Nigredo needs for his inventions. But mostly tacos.

  7. Danix’s healing factor can repair his body from most injuries. However, it can’t heal his body if every single cell of his body has been disintegrated. In other words, it can’t heal what isn’t there.

  8. Danix once had a virus known as Project Reaper, which was designed as a failsafe to kill his artificial id (or him, depending on who’s in control of his body) if it ever went rogue. Right before he escaped from C.A.D.M.U.S. (the science facility mentioned earlier), scientists were in the middle of programming this virus into him. When Danix (controlled by Kitroun) broke out of his experiment tank, the virus was activated and began to kill Danix, albeit very slowly. Project Reaper wouldn’t bring Danix to the brink of death until five years later. Although it was eliminated from his body by the combined efforts of one of his mentors and Kitroun, the prolonged exposure to the virus had permanently damaged his body. The extent of this damage has made it so he can’t stay in any of his transformations for longer than thirty seconds. It also caused him to lose around twenty IQ points, which may explain why he has trouble building something more complex than furniture from IKEA.

And there you have it. You’re now slightly more knowledgeable about Danix and I have fulfilled my voluntary/unnecessary obligation. And, as I have subtly mentioned within the rules, I won’t be tagging anyone because screw the rules, I’m going against the system, man. Fighting the power, raging against the machine, and all that jazz.

With all that said and done, see you in the next journal and have a good day (or night, depending on when you’re reading this).

So wait how will Danix use transformation such as chakara mode or the gear second third and all that lovely stuff?
